KHULUDI SHIV TEMPLE

An ancient temple of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parbati is Khuludi . It is situated near village Khuludi under Angul District of Odisha. 15 KMs away from Sub division Headquarter Pallahara which was ruled by Raja Sarat Chandra Munipal before independence India. The Temple is famous for its wonderful nature , Waterfall , Dence Forest & different Medicinal plants like Nageswar (Its flower is used to cure various stomach diseases) . Many people and devotees are coming here from different districts of Odisha to visit , worship and for picnic in every time through the year. The Temple is famous also for the reason that Lord Shiva  and  Goddess Parbati both temple are situated here. The Tourism department of Odisha has declared shortly to develop the site and road communication of the temple for the outside visitors. 


HISTORY

In the time of  Pallahara State King's Rule, there was a dense forest  not having any communication road to that place . One day a villager found his cow (Black) is standing inside some trees and her milk is flowing downwards automatically from her udders. He shocked and returned   to his home without his cow.  Another day also he found such scene repeatedly . He said the entire story to his friend and the news was whispered person to person . A Saint heard the news and rushed to that place and came to know that something is here under the earth. He said some villagers to dig that place . Villagers dug and found the stone made Lingam of Lord Shiva. The the then King of Pallahara was heard by his messenger and came to Khuludi immediately and made a temple there. A priest was engaged by the king to worship daily . From that day the temple became famous . Every day many devotees visited for begging bless of Mahadev . 

FESTIVALS 
There are many festivals celebrated through the year. But KARTIK PURNIMA &  SHIV RATRI  are two prime festivals among all.  . Thousands of pilgrims visiting the temple and waterfall during above festivals . From last few years a leading youth organisation of Pallahara town has taken its management voluntarily and managing the distribution of Prasad during festivals. 

Lastly,  God has no address , His presence  feels every where . Idol of god is worshiped by Hindus in India from last thousands of years. They believe God has created the nature and creature as well as the universe. Lord Brahma has created the earth, creatures and nature , Lord Vishnu has flourish the creature and lord Shiva is the God of holocaust. it means the God of destruct .
